Presenter: Joy Nugent
Joy Nugent is the author of ‘As Good As Goodbyes Get – a Window into Death and Dying’. Her training and life’s work has been in the nursing profession, and for the last three decades she pioneered a private nurse practice specialising in caring for people dying in their own homes.
Joy’s work and education programs in Brisbane and Adelaide also extended to the Sandakan Hospice in East Malaysia for a period of ten years. Joy says that how a person dies can be an inspiration for generations to come. She speaks with enthusiasm about her favourite topic – Dying with Confidence!
