In 2016 a group of senior women moved into the housing complex that they had been planning for years. Is this a model that can work for senior solo women in Australia who are finding living on their own to be challenging? Would it work for you?
What does co-housing mean and why would it work for this growing group?
Housing affordability is a significant issue in Australia and senior solo women are recognised as the growing poor, so we need to find a solution and provide safe, affordable long-term appropriate housing for our senior women.
Come along and find out what a group of Queensland women are working on to make life easier. It’s based on a model that is working in Europe and the UK – could it work in Australia?
