A compelling true story of twelve 15 year -old boys held hostage at gunpoint who found themselves dumped in the vast Australian wilderness.
For nine days they hunted and trapped wild animals while defending equal food portions. The boys built shelters and endured bitterly cold nights huddled together fighting the deadly grip of hypothermia. Hunger, fatigue and isolation mixed with adolescent hormonal pecking orders saw the boys battle their own internal turmoil and group dynamics, while survival psychology dominated. They emerged not as schoolboys and not as savages.
A must for all parents and educators; fascinating for those interested in human psychology.
