This session is recommended for those dealing with cancer, their carers and health professionals

When faced with cancer, there are many choices to make. The medical options, trials, natural therapies, self-help techniques, even alternative therapies. It is easy to be confused and maybe miss something crucial – AND when we are shocked and stressed after receiving our diagnosis making decisions can be very difficult.

Ian Gawler is a long-term cancer survivor and world authority who has worked closely with thousands of people affected by cancer for over 35 years. His experience and knowledge is vast.

Learning how to make good decisions is crucial for long-term survival.
Ian believes good decision making can be learnt but it is obviously essential for us to gather accurate information and assess what is appropriate for us.

Ian will review current research and point to where people can get really good information. He says many long-term survivors have learnt to make important decisions based on accessing their intuition. Learning how to do this reliably can be really valuable, and he will talk of the various ways he has done this and why it’s so important.

Ian Gawler’s survival story is extraordinary.
Having experienced cancer in the leg requiring amputation, then secondaries in the lymph nodes and going through periods of apparently getting better and then sudden periods of decline. His kidneys became blocked, his weight falling away and then turning yellow with jaundice and finding the cancer was spreading to his pelvis and lungs – then he started coughing up shards of bone. Finally Ian was told he might live for only another couple of weeks. What an extraordinary story – both terrifying and inspirational!

Use this opportunity.
Yes, here is a rare opportunity to spend time with Ian. Learn the facts, discover simple techniques and become your own best friend in this time of such significance and perhaps crises. Do not miss it.
An evening for everyone affected by cancer
